Funeral service for Beulah Crossman White, 90, of Canton will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the O’Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Hwy 11, Canton, with Rev. Douglas J. Lucia, officiating. Burial will be in the Hermon Cemetery. Beulah died on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at home under the care of her husband Frank and St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US Highway 11, Potsdam, New York 13676.
Surviving Beulah is her husband of 65 years, Frank of Canton; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Gary, who died in 2001.
Beulah was born October 26, 1921 in Canton, the daughter of the late Fritz and Lill (Fordham) Crossman. She graduated from Canton Central School in 1939 and from the Watertown School of Commerce in 1941. She married Frank White on September 23, 1946. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Agriculture office for a short time. She and Frank opened Whites Flowers in 1950, operating it for 34 years.
She enjoyed reading, camping, travel and canoeing and was a member of the Canton Garden Club and the Hospital Guild.
