Betty J. Fowler, 69, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at St. Josephs Home, Ogdensburg.
Betty was born in Richville on June 26, 1941, the daughter of James and Ruth Cardinal Turner.
Betty attended school in Bigelow, Richville, and Gouverneur High School. She was employed over twenty years at Sherwood Medical Company, Watertown and lived several years in Gouverneur and Hammond before moving to Ogdensburg. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
She was previously married to Ervin Fowler.
Betty is survived by a brother, Clyde Turner of Gouverneur; several nieces and nephews. She also had a half-brother Harry Launtage and is predeceased by brothers George Turner, Leon Turner and sisters Helen Jackson and Dorothy Brown.
A graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville will be held Wednesday, October 6th at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard Mayforth, pastor of the Gouverneur First Presbyterian Church officiating. There are no calling hours and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
Memorial donations in Betty’s memory may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley or St. Josephs Home.
