Beth E. Pelkey, 59, Waddington, passed away unexpectedly early morning Thursday, Nov. 21.
Funeral services for Beth will be Monday, Nov. 25 at the Phillips Memorial Home, Waddington, with Rev. Don Curry officiating.
Family and friends will be received at 10 a.m. Monday, until the time of the service at noon at the Phillips Memorial Home, with interment following in New Brookside Cemetery, Waddington.
Beth is survived by her husband, Wade; children Cara and Chris Jerome of Glenfield, and Ashley Alguire and Scott Jerome of Chase Mills; a brother, Richard McAllister, Waddington; and a sister, Ann Laraby, Waddington.
Also surviving Beth are her grandchildren Micheal, Justin, Naythan and Andrew Cobb, and Abrielle Jerome all of Glenfield, and Austin Haney, Kelsey Ruddy, and Emma Jerome, all of Waddington, and many nieces and nephews.
Beth was predeceased by a sister, Jean Brown.
Beth was born to the late John and Emma (Wells) McAllister Sept. 17, 1954 in Madrid.
Beth was a Madrid High School graduate and later went on to work for the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department as a guard.
She married Wade Pelkey Oct. 10, 1987 at the then-new New Testament Church in Massena with Rev. Tom Wells officiating.
She owned and operated her own beauty salon on Main Street in Waddington for over 20 years.
She retired from the Coles Creek State Park as a groundskeeper.
She was very active and involved with politics throughout her life.
