POTSDAM -- Mrs. Bernice M. Taylor, age 79 of Potsdam, NY passed away at the Massena Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home in Massena, NY after suffering from a stroke in March.
Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 20th from 4-7 pm.
A funeral service will be held the next day on the 21st at the Garner Funeral Service with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Parishville, NY.

Bernice is survived by her husband, Robert Taylor; son, Benjamin (Heather) Fisher of South Colton, NY; daughter, Rebecca Fisher LaRock of Winthrop, NY; stepdaughter, Roberta Taylor and her companion, Joe Shephard of Parishville, NY; a brother, Clarence Papaw Jr. of Parishville, NY; sister, Rowlena Knight of Potsdam; grandchildren, Chantel, Collin, Matthew, Ashley, Alysha, Shelbi, Sydnee, Alexys and Alexander; 5 great grandchildren, Ayden, River, Audrey, Jase and Gavin and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Thomas LaRock Jr. and sisters, Ethel Trimm and Janet Wynings.
Bernice M. Taylor was born on June 15, 1944, in Potsdam, NY to the late Clarence and Lurline (French) Papaw.
She was a graduate of Parishville Hopkinton Central School.
She had a marriage to Frank Fisher that ended in divorce and then was married to Robert Taylor.
She worked at New York Periodicals for years and then was a cafeteria monitor at Parishville Hopkinton Central for several years until her retirement.
Bernice cherished spending time with her grandchildren and the rest of her family.
She enjoyed having coffee with them in her gazebo.
She really enjoyed flowers.
