Barbara Joan Avila Baldwin, 85, Kinglsey Road, Louisville, passed away on December 1, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on April 2, 1926, in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of John C. and Hazel H. (Anderson) Avila. She graduated from Fairhaven High School. Barbara married Leonard O. Baldwin on September 25, 1952.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard; three daughters, Bonnie and husband David Twitchell, of Wilder, VT; Beth and husband James Kearns of Massena; Beverly and husband Fred Hudson of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Kristen Chapman, Kelly Ray, Andrew Twitchell, Michael Currier, Nicole Milmore, Laura Dubuque, Benjamin Hyde; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother Harry Rodman Avila, and a grandson Patrick James Twitchell.

Barbara was a member of OES in Massena, and Grandmothers Club in Massena. She enjoyed knitting, baking, art, singing and she loved to travel. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no services or calling hours for Barbara. Interment will be in Burke Cemetery at a later date.
