Funeral services for Arnold C. St. Germain, age 82 of Jefferson Avenue in Ogdensburg will be held at the convenience of his family. His place of rest is Foxwood Memorial Park.
Arnold died Sunday evening (Sept 18, 2011) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his family. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving are his sons, Jack St. Germain and his wife Pat of Knoxville, IA, Dennis St. Germain of Ogdensburg, Dale St. Germain and his wife Sharon of South Carolina, Robert St. Germain of Ogdensburg, and Richard St. Germain and his wife Lisa of Ogdensburg; nine grandchildren Richard, Elissa, Marceline, Brett, John, Steven, Amy Lynn, Chris and Brian; along with great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A son, Kevin St. Germain along with two brothers, Richard and Harold predeceased him.
Arnold was born on July 6, 1929 in Redwood, a son of the late John and Mary (Shampine) St. Germain. He attended Ogdensburg schools for his education and married Elizabeth ‘Betty” Fox on November 26, 1949 at the St. John’s Church in Prescott Ontario. She predeceased him on April 15, 2007.
During his career he was employed at Diamond National and then the City of Ogdensburg where he worked for the Highway Department for 35+ years. He enjoyed watching TV and spending time with his family.
