Funeral Services for Mrs. Ardis Irene Reed, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam. Rev. Lee Sweeney will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Parishville.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. Mrs. Reed died at the Highland Nursing Home March 21. She was a former resident of Potsdam and Parishville.

Mrs. Reed was born February 20, 1925, in the Town of Hopkinton. She was the daughter of Arthur and Pearl Lashua Planty. On November 1, 1942, she married Lloyd Joseph Reed. Mr. Reed died Nov 18, 1989.

Surviving Mrs. Reed are four sons and their wives, John and Becky Reed of Parishville, Stephen and Alice Reed, Potsdam, Bruce and Darlene Reed, Kirkville, and Mark and Emily (Cookie) Reed of South Russell; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara and husband Tim Briggs of DeKalb, and Mrs. Judy MacCrimman of Potsdam; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ardis is predeceased by one sister and five brothers.

Mrs. Reed loved being with her children and grandchildren and friends and enjoyed playing cards and other activities with them.
