CHESTNUT RIDGE, NY -- Anthony "Tony" Miraglia was born on September 1, 1951, at The New York Hospital in Manhattan.
He passed away on February 9th at his new home in Chestnut Ridge, NY, where he moved to closer to his grandkids.
He grew up in Westbury, NY, and graduated high school in 1970.
He attended Farmingdale College and later North Country College, earning his Associate of Science degree in Radiology.
He was employed for many years as a technician at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
He married Cynthia Tanner who as also employed there as an RN.
While working at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, he cross-trained into Nuclear Medicine and earned his NMTCB Certification. He was later employed at Massena Memorial as a Nuclear Medicine Technician before retiring in 2015.
Cynthia and Anthony have three children, Christine Knorr (Valley Cottage, NY), Matthew Miraglia (Ft. Myers, FL), and Elizabeth Miraglia (Boston, MA). He has two grandchildren, Catherine and Edward Know.
A memorial service and visiting hours will take place on February 14th at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home in West Nyack, NY, from 11 am - 2 pm.
