A Mass of Resurrection for Anne L. Kennedy, 94, formerly of Jefferson Ave. Massena will be held on Monday (November 29, 2010) 12:00 noon at St. Mary's Church with Rev. J. Michael Gaffney presiding.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. Monday until 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
Anne is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred in 1990 and Nicholas in 1992; and a sister, Anastasia Batuk.
Born June 4, 1916 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Modest and Palahia (Schoditch) Lazarchuck. She was educated in Massena Schools. She married Richard Kennedy on November 22, 1956 at St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale, by the Rev. Thomas McNeil. Mr Kennedy died February 22, 2009. She was employed at Alcoa and at the same time she was employed at Fishman's Department Store. She later was employed at Slavin's Furniture Store and later retiring from Schwartz Furniture Store in 1987 as a bookkeeper.
Anne was a member of LCBA and the Bereavement Group at St. Mary's Church. She and her late husband Richard were very active as volunteers at St. Mary's Church.
Arrangements are under the care and direction with the Phillps Memorial Home in Massena. The family has asked that memorials to St. Mary's Sanctuary Fund be made in her memory.
