Ann Marie Jackman, 61, formerly of Potsdam

Ms. Ann Marie Jackman, 61, 83 Shanty Creek Road, a native of Potsdam, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, October 24, 2011.

Ann Marie was born June 24, 1950 in Potsdam, the daughter of Donald Roger and Frances M. Cuglar Jackman. She graduated from Potsdam High School. She attended classes as SUNY Potsdam and graduated from Canton ATC with an associate’s degree.

Ann Marie was a tool and die maker, first at General Motors in Massena, before going to Fisher Guild in Syracuse until its closure. She then went back to work for General Motors in Tonawanda until her retirement. Ann Marie was a member of the United Auto Workers and played softball in Massena for many years.

Ann Marie is survived by her father, Donald Jackman of Potsdam; a brother, David and Judy Jackman of Massena; and a niece and three nephews, David Silas of Tennessee, Robert Silas of Texas, Raymond Silas of Mississippi, and Jennifer and Stacy White of Massena.

She was predeceased by her mother, Frances Jackman on January 20, 1990.

Friends may call the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, Friday from 6-8 p.m., where memorial services will be held on 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Judy VanKennan, officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Canton, at the convenience of the family.
