Brasher Falls man charged with felony following alleged domestic dispute
BRASHER — A Brasher Falls man was charged with a felony following an alleged domestic dispute Sept. 21, according to state police.
Chad F. Loomis, 39, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 12:25 a.m., officers said.
His arrest status was not made public.
Morristown woman accused of harassment
MORRISTOWN — A Morristown woman was charged with harassment Wednesday following an alleged dispute on CR 6, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Ann L. Horton, 47, was charged with second-degree harassment after allegedly striking another female during the incident, officers said.
She was cited and released.

EVANS MILLS — Graveside services for Marie B. Enslow, 98, a resident of the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown and formerly of Evans Mills and Colton, will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam, with Kenny Ashley presiding.
Mrs. Enslow passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Watertown.
Public comment sought on $2.2M grant for Scanlon Auto building upgrade in Potsdam

POTSDAM — The village is accepting comments from the public on whether or not it should write a grant to fund a $2.2 million rehab project of the former Scanlon Auto Parts building.
Plans for rehabilitating the 12,000-square-foot building at 4 and 6 Depot St. call were presented to the village board at its meeting Monday, Sept. 19, during a public hearing on the project.
NY Senate candidate Lapper to visit St. Lawrence County
POTSDAM — Democrat Jean Lapper, who is running for the New York State Senate in the newly reconfigured district 45, the largest senate district in the state which includes much of St. Lawrence County as well as surrounding counties, will visit the area on Sunday, Sept. 25.
She will be on hand meeting local voters in Potsdam, Canton, Massena, and Akwesasne.
Her first stop will be at Jernabi’s Coffeehouse, 11 Maple St. from 10-11:30 a.m.
Craft, Food & Wine Open Air Market set for Sept. 24 at the Power & Equipment Museum in Madrid
MADRID — The 2022 Craft, Food & Wine Open Air Market is open on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with 60 unique vendors featuring handmade and value added products from the North Country and beyond.
Vendors will be set up throughout the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum in Madrid like a market set along the 'streets' of this living history museum.
This event is hosted by the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, modeled after the Craft, Food & Wine show held traditionally at Clarkson's Cheel Arena or at SUNY Potsdam's Maxcy Hall.
Frederic Remington Art Museum's Harvest Moon event planned Saturday in Ogdensburg
OGDENSBURG - The Frederic Remington Art Museum's annual Harvest Moon event will be held at the Museum on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 7 to 11 PM. Everyone is welcome to a wonderful evening of fantastic fare, fundraising, and entertainment.

Gibson Brothers concert planned Sept. 24 at Norwood-Norfolk Central
NORWOOD — The award-winning Gibson Brothers will perform at the Norwood-Norfolk Central School on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The doors open at 7 p.m. and the music starts at 8.
The event is hosted by the Norwood Free Methodist Church.
Tickets are $22 in advance or $25 at the door.
Children 5 years old and younger are admitted free, but they may be required to sit on parent’s laps.
