Hermon man charged with multiple vehicle infractions in Canton

CANTON — A Hermon man was charged with multiple traffic offenses on Aug. 5, Canton police say.
Tanner L. Clifford, 21, was charged with have no or insufficient tail lamps, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate and a motor vehicle license violation: improper license, police say.
Clifford was issued traffic tickets returnable in Canton Town Court on Sept. 7.

I wonder if I'm the only person that questions the new traffic pattern on Rt.11 in Potsdam? Changes are usually designed to make improvements but, in this case, I'm not sure that got accomplished.

Religion is gone from our public schools and there seems to be very little chance of getting it back. Parents who want to give their children a religious education must send them to a religious school or homeschool, while they are forced to support the public schools through taxation.

Potsdam man accused of menacing

POTSDAM — A Potsdam man was charged with menacing Aug. 11 following a complaint the day prior, according to village police.
Charles Davis, 33, was charged with second-degree menacing at 8:40 p.m., officers said.
He was cited and released.

Parishville woman accused of trespassing in Potsdam

POTSDAM — A Parishville woman was charged with trespassing stemming from a November 2021 complaint, according to village police.
Keitha M. French, 31, was charged with trespassing at 2:22 p.m. Aug. 11 after she was located by state police and transported to Potsdam court, police said.

Ryan's Wish Foundation Golf Tournament Aug. 21 in Gouverneur

GOUVERNEUR – The 2022 Ryan’s Wish Foundation Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, Aug. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. at Emerald Greens Golf Course.
The Ryan’s Wish Foundation (501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization) is created to celebrate the inspirational life of Ryan Saidel. The foundation is dedicated to helping people who are battling a serious illness to “play and live strong.” The Foundation serves people in the tri-county areas of Northern New York: Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties.
