OGDENSBURG – Eleanor J. (Morrow) LaRose, age 95, passed away on May 27, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home with her family by her side.
Eleanor was born on April 26, 1928, in Ogdensburg, NY, to the late Harold and Irene (Fountain) Morrow. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Christine LaRose, sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Seymour, Jane Rishe, Ola King, and several nieces and nephews.

SOUTH COLTON – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary F. McKinley, 119 Windmill Road, South Colton, will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in South Colton with Rev. Joseph Giroux presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery following the mass. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Friday from 4-7 pm. Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 26, 2023, at her home.

With the Memorial Day weekend being the unofficial start to summer, the Memorial Cup was awarded for the 31st time at the Mohawk International Raceway. The stands were filled as well as the pits for another classic at the Mohawk International Raceway. After the heat races it would be time for the features.

I was on a Kidney Transplant list for five years. Recently, I had a successful transplant at UV Medical Center Burlington, Vt.
I want to thank Surgeons-Doctors Carlos Marroquin and James Pineda who did a marvelous job.
Thanks as well to other transplant team members: Doctors Marios Prikis and Doctor Silviana Marineci, Nurse Selena Patterson, Autumn Cahoon, Erin Phelan. Andrew Myhre, Anthony Calderon, Rachel Preston, Stacey Crawford, Emma Forsyth, Emily Savlov and Erin Berg.Also, the ICU Nurses and entire staff at UVM Medical Center.

And our Grand Old Flag was on display.
It hung on homes and flag poles too,
I love to see the Red, White, and Blue.
By Flag Day there will be hardly a flag,

HERMON -- Born on New Year's Day 1939, in Manhattan, NY, Carol Elizabeth Linn, 84, formerly of Judson Street Road, Canton, died May 26, 2023, at Legacy K Elder Care Home in Hermon.
Carol was a daughter of the late Henry and Pauline E. (Hill) Wright. She met her husband of 63 years, Theodore (Ted) C. Linn at Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, PA, where they graduated together in 1956. On June 9, 1960, they were married in the Sunset Hills Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA. Methodist minister Rev. Ralph Ward and Presbyterian minister Rev. Bruce Wilson as co-celebrants.

MASSENA – Robert Lee Simpson, age 76, passed away at Canton-Potsdam Hospital on Friday, May 26, 2023.
Arrangements under the care and guidance of Phillips Memorial Home 64 Andrews Street, Massena, NY.
As per Robert’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
He was born on October 8, 1947, the son of Rufus Simpson Sr. and Helen (Harper) Simpson.
