LAKE PLACID -- Led by American Steve Holcomb, many of the world’s best bobsled and skeleton athletes will be returning to Lake Placid Dec. 17-19, when they race in Viessmann FIBT World Cup bobsled/skeleton events.
Last February, Holcomb broke a 62-year U.S. gold medal drought when he won in the Olympic four-man bobsled competition.
The event, on the 1,455-meter long, 20-curve course, is the final stop on the four-race North American The action begins on the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex course Friday, Dec. 17, with the men’s and women’s skeleton events, followed by two-man and women’s bobsled races Saturday, Dec. 18.
The four-man race is slated for Sunday, Dec. 19.
