MASSENA — A Canadian woman was arrested Monday following an incident Oct. 24 in which she fled law enforcement by driving her vehicle over 100 miles per hour, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Tracey A. Oakes, 36, was charged with unlawful fleeing an officer, second-degree criminal impersonation, reckless driving, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and numerous traffic and vehicle violations, deputies said.
The initial stop was made on Roosevelt Road, officers said.
Oakes reportedly gave deputies a false name because her driving privileges were revoked in New York.
Oakes fled from the scene, evading deputies at speeds over 100 mph, officers said.
She was located weeks later and charged.
