Much of St. Lawrence County will see some snowfall tonight and into Tuesday with 1 to 3 inches of snow predicted for Tuesday in some areas of the county and less than one inch possible for other regions, according to the National Weather Services (NWS).
However, the Weather Channel is calling for 1 to 3 inches tonight and 5 to 8 inches on Tuesday for the St. Lawrence Valley.
Here’s a look at the NWS forecast:
Tonight
Rain before 3 a.m., then snow. Low around 32. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 36. Northeast wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tuesday Night
Snow likely, mainly before 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Wednesday
A chance of snow before 8am, then a chance of snow showers between 8am and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Northwest wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Thursday
Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
