CANTON – A winter weather advisory has been issued for St. Lawrence County until 7 a.m. Dec. 7 with 2 to 5 inches of snow expected, according to the National Weather Service.
Although the warning has been issued for Ogdensburg, Potsdam and Gouverneur, the hardest hit areas are expected to be south of Hammond to the Russell line.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Residents should expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
