CANTON – The Village of Canton is encouraging residents to join the discussion regarding the future of Willow Island.

Whitham Planning Design & Landscape Architecture, consultants to the Village of Canton for the Willow Island Park Enhancements project, will be in Canton on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. to discuss the planning process and take public input on ideas for enhancement of this beautiful downtown park.

The public information session will be held in the downstairs courtroom of the Canton Municipal Building, 60 Main St.

“This session will allow residents to learn more about the process and offer their thoughts and ideas on what they would like to see for the future of the Willow Island space,” said Canton Director of Economic Development Leigh Rodriguez. “The information gathered at this meeting will help the consultants to develop concepts which will then be shared, discussed, and publicly vetted prior to any implementation.”

An announcement is also available on the municipal website at www.cantonny.gov, and events have been created on the municipal website and municipal Facebook page.
