Wind gusts as high as 26 mph are forecast today but the temperature in St. Lawrence County is above freezing again, according to the National Weather Service ( NWS).
North Country residents will be treated to a high near 37 today, but winds will be 10-14 mph with gusts expected, NWS says.
There is a 70% chance of rain and snow showers tonight with an overnight low of 28 and winds 5-11 mph, the service says.
NWS says the temperature will fall gradually Monday to around 24 with an overnight low of 13.
No major storms or cold snaps are expected this week in St. Lawrence County.
The forecast through next Saturday is as follows:
Monday
A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 9am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 24 by 5pm. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
Monday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Light and variable wind.
Tuesday
Showers likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Breezy, with a southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night
Showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Breezy, with a south wind 14 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
