Village elections were set for Wednesday, March 18 in Norwood and Richville. This has now been postponed until April 28 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In Norwood, Michael diVincenzo, a Democrat incumbent trustee, and Erin LaBarge, a Democrat who was not successful in her last bid for a trustee seat, are running for two seats on the Norwood Village Board. They are facing two Republicans, incumbent Gene Michael Knowlton, and Matt Tebo.
The polls at the Norwood Municipal Building will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
Norwood Mayor Tim Levison says that state elections authorities “have suggested we allow absentee ballots for people who don’t feel comfortable mingling” at the polls due to the possibility of coronavirus infection.
Levison said eligible village residents may pick up a ballot at the village offices during regular business hours through noon on election day.
In Richville, two incumbent independent trustees are running to retain their seats. They are Larry Deets and Anthony Wood, both unopposed on the ballot.
Voting will be at the village offices, 87 Main St.
