POTSDAM — The village is applying for a state grant to pay for a proposed renovation project at Sandstoner Park Arena.
At their July 26 meeting, the village board authorized the submission of an application for $263,780 from the state's Environmental Protection Fund Local Waterfront Revitalization Program.
The money, which would come through the state’s 2021 Consolidated Funding Application round, would be used to help pay for preparation of architectural and engineering plans and specifications for the renovation of the Arena, the resolution said.
If approved, the grant funding would require the village to provide $46,550 (15 percent) of the total project cost.
The board also approved a State Environmental Quality Review Act survey which said the renovation project of the Arena would not adversely impact the community.
