CANTON -- Community Health Center of the North Country is getting $58,174 to boost their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They can use the grant to address screening and testing needs, acquire medical supplies and boost their telehealth capacity in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Community Health Center operates facilities in Canton, Gouverneur, Ogdensburg and Malone.
The cash is coming from the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, which the president signed on March 6.
“HRSA-funded health centers have been and will be critical players in our national response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” HHS Secretary Alex Azar said in a prepared statement.
