PIERCEFIELD – Two Piercefield residents were arrested for resisting arrest on Monday, reported New York State Police.
Hunter M. Kennedy, 22, and Michelle E. Kennedy, 51, both of Piercefield, were each charged with resisting arrest. Around 9:41 a.m., troopers responded to Main Street in the town of Piercefield to assist Tupper Lake Police Department with a male resisting arrest. An investigation determined Hunter had an active arrest warrant. An officer from the Tupper Lake Police Department was attempting to place him under arrest when he started refusing. His mother, Michelle, started to help Hunter, interfering with the arrest making it unsafe for the officers.
Both were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Piercefield Court on a later date in May.
