GOUVERNEUR – Two Gouverneur men have been charged in an ongoing investigation into a burglary in Philadelphia in December.
State Police arrested Joshua A. Lintz, 1404 Cty. Rt. 12, Monday morning, charging him with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property after he allegedly was found to have a Dell Latitude laptop computer that troopers say was stolen during that December burglary
Lintz was in Town of Gouverneur Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail.
On Jan. 11, state police arrested Troy D. Burns, 1404 Cty. Rt. 12, Gouverneur, charging him with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, after he allegedly bought the laptop from Lintz.
Burns was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Gouverneur Court on Jan. 20.
The investigation was conducted with the aid of the Gouverneur Police Department as well as the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, and some aspects of this investigation are continuing, state police said.
