POTSDAM -- Two tractor trailers were involved in accidents Thursday, with one striking a Potsdam police vehicle that was on scene investigating a separate accident, village police said.

Police responded to an accident at the intersection of Elm and Market streets following an accident involving a van and a tractor trailer, officers said.

Eric L. Rosario Sanchez, 24, Warren, Ohio, was cited for improper right turn at 3:44 p.m., police said.

While on scene, an uninvolved tractor trailer reportedly struck a parked Potsdam police vehicle that had its emergency lights activated, police said.

The officer was not inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. No injuries from either accident were reported.

Imani D. Bowman, 22, Bridgeport, Conn., was cited for failure to yield right-of-way to an emergency vehicle at 4:06 p.m., police said.

Both drivers were cited and released.
