MASSENA -- The Town of Massena swore in new councilors and a new justice, and their town clerk for another term at a Wednesday, Jan. 2 reorganizational meeting.
Republican councilors Sue Bellor and Robert Elsner took their oaths of office, along with new Town Justice Eric Sharlow and incumbent Town Clerk Pamela Catanzerite.
Bellor and Elsner took over two seats previously held by Democrats. In November, the pair beat Democrats Loren Fountaine and Melanie Cunningham, an incumbent. Former Democrat Councilor Tom Miller opted not to run for re-election.
Sharlow ran unopposed as a Democrat for town justice after former Justice Pat Serguson chose to not seek a new term.
Catanzerite, a Republican, also ran unopposed and is beginning her second term.
