POTSDAM -- A teen is accused of driving more than 100 mph after fleeing police on Saturday, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.
Ahmed Said Aly, 18, Astoria, was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer, speeding, speed in zone and several other traffic infractions, officers said.
Aly reportedly failed to comply when deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop on the 2019 Infiniti sedan he was operating.
Multiple marked police vehicles had their emergency lights activated during the incident, officers said.
Aly allegedly drove over 100 mph on State Highway 56, and more than 80 mph in a 45 mph zone on County Route 59.
He was cited and released.
