CANTON – St. Lawrence County legislators appointed Jolene Munger as interim public health director.
They made the appointment during a brief special meeting on Monday, March 8.
Munger will be paid a $97,933 salary. The resolution for her appointment says she will hold the interim role while a search committee looks for a permanent director.
Munger will replace Dr. Dana McGuire, who is stepping down from her role at the end of March, but may stay on to help with specific projects.
Dr. McGuire in early February said she is leaving the director’s post for family reasons.
She was appointed to the position three years ago.
