POTSDAM — SUNY Potsdam will receive a $370,113 National Science Foundation Division of Earth Sciences Grant for the study of Earth’s climate history.

This project will deepen our understanding of the effects of sea level changes while providing valuable hands-on laboratory experience for the participating undergraduates, according to a statement from Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who represents St. Lawrence County in the 21st District.

“I am proud to announce these taxpayer dollars are returning to my district for SUNY Potsdam and their research pursuits,” said Congresswoman Stefanik.

“We are fortunate in the North Country to be home to a number of great Universities and research institutions who make significant scientific contributions. I look forward to seeing the impact this important funding will have, and I will continue to advocate for federal grants like this one that have real impacts on my district.”
