High pressure is beginning to build into the North Country with mostly dry conditions expected to prevail for the next several days in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Highs will be near seasonal norms and then gradually become above normal towards the end of the week, the service says.
The forecast calls for highs today around 66 with partly sunny skies. An overnight low of 50 is likely.
Temps will climb each day this week with highs in the upper 70s toward the weekend, the service says.
The forecast through Saturday is as follows:
Monday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. North wind 3 to 6 mph.
Monday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 43. Light north wind.
Tuesday
Sunny, with a high near 69. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 43. Calm wind.
Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 71. Light and variable wind.
Wednesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 45. Light and variable wind.
Thursday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
Thursday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 5 to 7 mph.
Friday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
Friday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. West wind 3 to 7 mph.
