Another mostly cloudy day with a few spot showers possible across the St. Lawrence Valley with near normal temperatures, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
St. Lawrence County will see highs today around 58 with a 40% chance of rain, mainly after 11 a.m., the service says. An overnight low of 40 is expected.
A similar scenario is on tap for Monday, but with slightly warmer temperatures, NWS says. The next large scale system arrives on Wednesday with a widespread precipitation event likely, ending as some mountains snow showers on Thursday.
Temperatures are above normal for Tuesday into Wednesday, but trend below normal by Thursday on brisk northwest winds.
The forecast through Saturday is as follows:
Monday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Southwest wind 6 to 14 mph.
Monday Night
A 30 percent chance of showers after 2am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 40. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday
A 30 percent chance of showers before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Southwest wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night
A chance of rain and snow showers between 2am and 3am, then a chance of snow showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday
A chance of rain and snow showers before 8am, then rain. High near 50. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
