Congresswoman Elise Stefanik voted recently in favor of America’s Conservation Enhancement Act, bipartisan, bicameral legislation that authorizes more than $1 billion for federal wildlife and habitat conservation.

The bill contains several provisions that will address environmental depredation challenges, wildlife disease, and invasive species. The bill also extends programs vital to conservation efforts, protects wildlife and their habitats, and promotes conservation.

“As Co-Chair of the Invasive Species Caucus, I am proud to vote in favor of this important conservation package to protect and preserve our ecosystems,” said Congresswoman Stefanik.

“This bipartisan bill reauthorizes important initiatives like the North American Wetlands Conservation Act and provides funds to combat the threat of invasive species, both of which are important to the North Country.
