MORRISTOWN – A traffic stop Thursday afternoon in the Town of Morristown resulted in drug-related charges for a Rochester woman.
New York State Police reported that around 12:13 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated by troopers on County Route 6,. During the stop, Shameika A. West, 35, was found to be in possession of individual baggies of cocaine along with other drug paraphernalia, baggies and a scale.
West was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle along with several V&T tickets, according to police.
West was arraigned in the Town of Morristown Court and released in her own recognizance.
