POTSDAM -- A change in New York State Election Law will move early voting to the Clarkson Facilities Building, 42 Maple St., Potsdam.
St. Lawrence County Board of Elections officials said state election law mandates voting to take place in the township with the largest population, and that township is Potsdam
“The hours will remain the same, the location will be changed. We think this space will serve county residents well,” said Jennie Bacon, the county’s Democratic Commissioner of Elections. “We thank Clarkson University for their hospitality, generosity, and willingness to work with the Board of Elections as well as their desire to help County residents. Clarkson is excited to have voting at a Clarkson facility.”
Early voting will be held Oct. 23-31. Election Day is Nov. 2.
Voting hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 and 24; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 25; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 and 29; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 and 31.
