POTSDAM – A Clarkson University varsity volleyball player from St. Regis Falls is among those chosen by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for All-American status.

Senior Sara Artus was informed Tuesday that she had been chosen as a third-team All-American. This is the third time she has been chosen as a volleyball All-American.

Liberty League Player of the Year, Artus recorded 496 kills through 38 matches (3.70 per set) with a .240 hitting percentage. She finished her career as the school's all-time leader in kills (1,710) and the three highest single-season figures for kills (560 in 2010, 506 in 2009, and 496 in 2011). She also was among the team's leaders in digs (280), blocks (50), aces (32) and assists (32). Artus was one of only two AVCA New York Region First-Team members to gain recognition on any of the first three All-American teams.
