Voters approved budgets at St. Lawrence County schools and elected school board members.
Below is a results from Ogdensburg, Massena, Potsdam, Canton and Norwood-Norfolk schools, as well as a link to all other results from local districts.
Ogdensburg City School District
Ogdensburg City School District's $53.5 million budget was approved 198-30 and incumbents Vicky Peo and Craig Lalonde were re-elected to five year terms on the board of education.
A proposition to create a capital reserve fund passed 199-27 as did a proposition allowing the district to spend up to $3 million on construction at JFK in a 193-35 vote.
Massena Central School
Massena Central School District’s $63.8 million budget was approved 396-97.
Elected to the school board were Susan Lambert and Daniel Tusa, with 192 and 178 votes respectively.
A proposition on allowing a student ex officio was approved 410-86.
Potsdam Central School
Voters approved Potsdam Central School's $36.5M budget 285-66.
Rachel H.M. Wallace, Ralph Fuller and J. Patrick Turbett were elected to the school board with 289, 285 and 259 votes respectively.
A bus proposition was approved 301-48.
Canton Central School
Canton Central School District’s $34.8M budget was approved 356-75.
The district sought voter approval for the purchase of three buses at a cost not to exceed $435,000 and it was approved 366-61.
The fourth proposition was for the Canton Free Library’s Resolution, which also passed 354-76.
Earning seats on the school board were Robert Larabee, with 348 votes; Denise Sero, with 299 votes; and Jessica Sierk, with 275 votes. They all earned three-year seats. Write-in candidate Arthur Quackenbush earned a one-year term replacing Kate Halleron Murphy. He garnered 197 votes.
Norwood-Norfolk Central
Norwood-Norfolk Central School’s $25.9 budget passed 166-13 and bus proposition was approved 163-19.
Earning seats on the school board were Suzanne Fiacco, 163 votes, Mary Ellen Todd, 161 votes, and Artie Frego with 154 votes.
A vehicle reserve proposition was approved 168-14, and an equipment reserve proposition was approved 169-12.
