St. Lawrence County is under a winter storm warning from 9 p.m. tonight until 7 p.m. Saturday with 7-14 inches of snow expected, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Snow is expected to begin late tonight, which will be heavy at times, and will be compounded by wind gusts as high as 31 mph, the service says.
Forecasters expect snow will be heaviest during the pre-dawn hours on Saturday, when snowfall rates may exceed one inch per hour.
Travel could be very difficult, especially late tonight and into Saturday morning. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
High temps today will reach into the mid to upper-30s with cloudy skies. Snow will likely begin around 9 p.m., NWS says. Overnight the low will be around 26 with winds 11-20 mph and gusts around 30 mph.
Saturday will see a high near 34 with winds dying down as the day progresses, forecasters say.

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. East wind 5 to 11 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
