CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and a woman after the execution of a search warrant at a Churchill Street address in the Town of Canton on Aug. 5, at about 4:20 p.m. Arrested were Scott Wright, 32, who resided at the Churchill Street address and Amber Gilmore, 28 from Canton.
Both were arrested for third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, a Class D felony) and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor.
The arrests stemmed from detectives and deputies locating methamphetamine making materials and approximately half a gram of methamphetamine during the execution of the search warrant.
Both subjects were arraigned virtually in the Town of Morristown Court where they were both released.
They are both due back in court on a later date. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by members of New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team.
