CANTON - St. Lawrence County Public Health is reporting there have been 24 confirmed new cases of COVID-19 between Tuesday, Aug. 3, and Thursday, Aug. 5.
The new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases recorded in the county since the start of the pandemic to 7,689.
Fifty-two cases are currently active.

Public Health reports 7,540 cases have been released from isolation since the pandemic began.
Five cases are currently hospitalized.
Ninety-seven deaths have occurred; this fatality data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on Aug. 4 before 2 p.m.
