St. Lawrence County Public Health is no longer taking online appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations.

To make an appointment simply call 315-229-3452 or walk-in with no appointment needed. SLCPH holds COVID-19 vaccination clinics every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m - 3:30 p.m.

“Only 43.4% of people 65 years and older have received an updated bivalent booster in St. Lawrence County, even less in younger age groups. Older adults are more likely to get very sick from COVID-19. Getting very sick means that older adults might need hospitalization, intensive care, or a ventilator to help them breathe, or they might even die,” a release from public health officials says.

“If you, or someone you know is over the age of 65 and has not yet received an updated booster, encourage them to get boosted. Immunity from previous COVID-19 vaccines wanes over time. Bivalent booster doses provide extra protection against the circulating Omicron variants and reduce the chance of becoming very sick with COVID-19.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) continues to recommend bivalent

boosters for everyone ages 6 months and older. To find out when you can get your booster, visit www.cdc.gov/covid-19.
