ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY — The St. Lawrence County Office of Emergency Services is warning of high water levels on the Raquette River over the next few days.
With the increased rainfall and warmer temps across the region, the water level of the river is expected to slowly increase in the coming days, according to a press release.
People traveling through the Raquette River corridor are cautioned to be on alert for high water levels of water across roadways, the office said.
Emergency services are warning residents and motorists that it is inadvisable, and potentially dangerous to drive vehicles into standing eater over roadways.
Anyone experiencing flooding that is threatening residential dwellings are encouraged to contact 911 for help.
