CANTON — A St. Lawrence County correctional inmate has been charged with second-degree assault, officials say.
Keith R. Rodriguez, 30, was charged stemming from an incident on Sept. 16 at the correctional facility, officials say.
Rodriguez is accused of engaging in a physical altercation with two officers, which resulted in one officer sustaining injuries, according to officials.
The officer suffered a fractured fibula, sprained knee and sprained ankle, officials say.
Rodriguez was arraigned in Canton town court and held on $500 bail.
He is set to appear in court at a later date.
