CANTON – The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency has reappointed Brian W. Staples as its chairman, Ernest J. LaBaff as vice chairman, and Lynn Blevins as board secretary.
The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency is a public benefit corporation created by New York State legislation to promote, encourage, attract, and develop job opportunities and economically sound commerce and industry in St. Lawrence County.
As a full-service development agency, SLCIDA works to ensure that employers in St. Lawrence County, or those considering locating in the county, have access to the services available to help start, expand, and maintain their operations in St. Lawrence County.
As part of its activities, since 1982, the IDA has invested over $9,500,000 to construct buildings and facilities in St. Lawrence County.
These buildings represent a quarter million square feet of space that has been constructed or rehabilitated.
The IDA is currently rehabilitating the 72,000 square foot former Newell Building at 100 Paterson Street in Ogdensburg, a mixed-use facility with a variety of office, manufacturing, and warehousing space now available.
Patrick J. Kelly has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer of the IDA and Kimberly Gilbert has been reappointed as the Agency’s Chief Financial Officer.
