NORWOOD – St. Lawrence County Family Court Judge candidate Alexander Lesyk has received a second major labor union endorsement.

LiUNA represents 500,000 union members in the construction and energy industries and over 70,000 public employees in health care, sanitation, road maintenance, and emergency response. The National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU), representing over 47,000 mail handlers employed by the United States Postal Service, is also affiliated with LiUNA.

Lesyk responded: “I am honored by the endorsement from LiUNA – Local 1822 Chapter. These union members build and care for the world around us with their work in infrastructure, health care, and other essential services to help us all.”

He added: “I appreciate the many benefits my family and I have received through my former and current union memberships. I was with UUP (United University Professionals) and NYSUT (New York State United Teachers) when I was teaching at SUNY Canton. Now in my role as Principal Court Attorney for the Franklin County Family Court, I am currently a member of CSEA (Civil Service Employees Association). The connection between unions and supporting families is very clear and personal to me. Thank you, LiUNA – Local 1822!”
