CANTON — From March 1 to March 30 St. Lawrence County will accept applications from property owners to add land to Agricultural Districts 1 and 2.
The county’s agricultural districts help protect farmland and farming in the county. Agricultural district 1 primarily consists of agricultural lands in the western and southern portions of the county, and agricultural district two spans across the county’s northern and eastern regions.
Digital maps showing whether land is in an ag district are available online at https://maps.dancgis.org/ima/.
Applications to add land to Ag District 1 or 2 can be accessed at www.stlawco.org/Departments/Planning/AgDistrictMap, at local municipal offices, calling 315-379-2292, or emailing lbartalo@stlawco.org.
Applications will be accepted until Monday, March 30.
