CANTON -- The village Water Department says it is working on a water main break that, once fixed, will still affect homeowners and businesses that will have to boil their water.
The break has affected properties from Stiles Avenue all the way out to the Comfort Suites on East Main, and from the railroad tracks on Rt. 310 out to Rt. 11.
Repairs are underway, and once service is restored, the village says, people in the affected area must boil their drinking and cooking water until further notice.
