CANTON -- St. Lawrence County Public Health has launched a survey to gauge interest in parents having their child vaccinated against COVID-19.
Currently, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for use in individuals 16 years of age and older.
The St Lawrence County Health Department expects that the authorization for use will soon expand to include children 12 years old and older.
In anticipation of this change, health officials would like to gauge the current level of demand for Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in these age groups.
Parents or guardians are asked to complete a survey only if they would grant permission for their child(ren) to receive a COVID-19 vaccination at a school clinic with written parental consent.
Complete only one survey per household by May 12.
Parents can take the survey here.
