MASSENA -- A paroled sex offender was jailed without bail after he allegedly exposed himself to two children in public.
Robert L. Pitts, 60, of 259 Center St. Apt. 5, Massena is charged with two counts each of exposure and child endangerment.
He allegedly exposed himself to two children on East Hatfield Street along the shores of the Grasse River, police said.
He was arrested at 1:42 p.m. Aug. 23 and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail. Police said the arrest violated the terms of his parole, so he was remanded without bail.

He is a level-two sex offender who was convicted Jan. 3, 2014 for raping a 14-year-old girl in October 2012, according to the New York State Sex Offender Registry.
