Sentences handed down in St. Lawrence County Court

CANTON -- More than a dozen defendants recently pleaded or were sentenced for various, unrelated crimes in St. Lawrence County Court.

• Richard Nier, 31, pleaded guilty Jan. 2 to fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to one year in jail, conditionally discharged with conditions that include obeying all local, state, and federal laws, having his DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, $375 in fines, fees, and surcharge, and compliance with an order of protection issued in court, according to the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office.

• Jason Bear Rayder, 20, pleaded guilty on Jan. 2 to first-degree burglary. The DA’s office expects his sentence “will include a significant period of imprisonment.” Sentencing is scheduled for March 2.

Christopher St. Pier, 30, pleaded guilty Jan. 2 to third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. “His sentence will include a significant period of imprisonment as a second felony offender,” the DA’s office said. Sentencing is scheduled for March 2.

• Aaron Clary, 40, pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated. His sentencing date is March 2.

• Myrinda Fishbeck, 29, pleaded guilty to felony driving while ability impaired by drugs. Sentencing is scheduled for March 2.

• Joshua Bouchey, 40, pleaded guilty Jan. 6 to fourth-degree manufacturing methamphetamine. He was sentenced to probation, a condition of which includes having his DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services. He was also ordered to pay fees and a surcharge of $375.

• David Bressard, 40, was sentenced on Jan. 6 to up to six years in prison for second-degree robbery. In addition, he was ordered to have his DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services. He was ordered to pay $1,833.33 in restitution, as well as a fine, fee, and surcharge of $375.

• Floyd Bruce, 22, was sentenced on Jan. 6 as second felony offender to up to three years in prison for attempted possession of prison contraband. He was ordered to have his DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services. He was also assessed a fine, fee, and surcharge of $375.

• Gregory Coughlin, 35, was sentenced Jan. 6 pursuant to Corrections Law 168-t to a felony term of probation. He was ordered to have his DNA profile registered to with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, and assessed $375 in fines, fees and surcharges.

• Jessica Pray, 26, was sentenced Jan. 6 to five years of felony probation for third-degree manufacturing methamphetamine. She was ordered to have her DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, and assessed $375 in fines, fees and surcharges.

• Rob Sheridan, born 54, was sentenced Jan. 6 to probation after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of a child. He was ordered to have his DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, and ordered to pay $575 in fines, fees and surcharges.

• Serena Chetney, 20, was sentenced Jan. 7 to felony probation for attempted possession of prison contraband. She was ordered to have her DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, and ordered to pay $375 in fines, fees and surcharges.

• Joshua Denny, 29, was sentenced Jan. 7 to probation for felony DWI. He was ordered to have his DNA profile registered with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services. He was also ordered to complete 240 hours of community service, and pay $1,515 in fines, fees and surcharges.

• Eddie Johnson III, 51, was sentenced Jan. 7 to probation for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was ordered to pay $375 in fines, fees and surcharges.

• Brian King, 59, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 guilty to felony DWI, first-degree AUO, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. Sentencing is scheduled for March 5.

• Kody LaRock, 23, pleaded guilty Jan. 10 to criminal obstruction of breathing. Sentencing is scheduled for March 5.

“I want to thank all the members of law enforcement, their staff, the Office of Emergency Services, and my own staff for working hard, for seeking justice, and for putting in long hours to serve our community in the midst of implementing time consuming legislation. The grace and determination shown has been a testament to the character of all involved in this endeavor,” District Attorney Gary Pasqua said in a prepared statement.
