State Senator Patty Ritchie has endorsed Councilor Mike Powers for Ogdensburg City Council.
“In all the years I have known Mike Powers, he has always had the best interest of Ogdensburg and the North Country at heart,” said Senator Ritchie. “He has been a great partner to work with on issues critical to our community, including saving the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center and Ogdensburg Correctional Facility. If elected, I know he will continue to work hard on behalf of residents and give 110 percent to make the City a better place.”
Powers is an Ogdensburg native who served on City Council previously from 2008 to 2012. In 2019, he was appointed to fulfill a vacancy on the Council. A veteran corrections officer, Powers also serves as NYSCOPBA union president.
